DesconWin

DesconWin is a software program for designing beam-to-column connections, beam and column splices, and beam to girder connections, of steel buildings. Simple shear connections, and partially or fully restrained moment connections are included in DesconWin. ASD and LRFD versions, both in the U.S. units and Metric units, are available separately.

DesconWin is a Windows based program and requires MS Windows 95 or higher. Input data is entered using pull-down lists, option buttons, and text boxes. On-screen and printed output includes a detailed calculation report and a drawing of the connection. DesconWin creates a DXF file of the designed connection to interface with CAD systems.

DesconWin has a database of steel sections including W, M, S, and HP shapes. Users can add customized or non-standard sections to this database. DesconWin requires a minimum amount of data in the Design mode and allows the user to enter all pertinent data in the Check mode.
